Orient winger commits his future to the O's
LEYTON ORIENT winger Dean Cox has today (Saturday) put pen to paper on a new contract with the Club which will see him remain in E10 until June 2017.
Cox has made 210 appearances for the O’s and scored 46 goals in all competitions since signing in the summer of 2010 from Brighton & Hove Albion.
The 26-year-old was one of the star performers last season as he bagged 17 goals in 56 appearances from midfield including the memorable first goal against Peterborough United in the Play-Off Semi-Final and the second against Rotherham United at Wembley.
He also has an outstanding record as a provider and his 15 assists was the joint best in League 1 last season. His form saw him linked with a move away from E10 over the summer but he has chosen to commit his future to the Club as Russell Slade builds for the 2014-15 campaign.
Cox is currently the Club’s longest serving player and is no stranger to working under Slade who was also his manager at the Seagulls.
Stay tuned to www.leytonorient.com where we will be talking to the winger tomorrow.
