O's hoping for a repeat of last season...ORIENT travel to Gillingham to face a Gills side down on their luck with no wins in their last eight in the League. A win could see Orient jump as many as eight place in the table, however defeat would see the Gills leapfrog them. The O's will be hoping for a repeat of their trips to Priestfield last season where they collected two wins; firstly a 3-1 win in the JPT thanks to a Shaun Batt hat-trick before a dramatic Boxing Day win when they came from behind to win 2-1 thanks to a Marvin Bartley header and a dramatic last minute winner from Yohann Lasimant.
The O's are sweating on the clearance status of new signing Andrea Dossena, though Gary Sawyer came in for his start since August on Tuesday in the left back slot, meaning Mauro Milanese has big decisions to make on his defence with Mathieu Baudry and Scott Cuthbert missing out on Tuesday. Adam Legzdins and Gary Woods will again battle it out to start in goal with the former returning from injury against Northampton.
Jack Price returned to the club this week following his injury and could be in contention to play in midfield though Jobi McAnuff is still away on international duty. In terms of injuries their is still a lengthy list of medium and long term absentees but the fresh concern on Tuesday was Jay Simpson who hobbled off after scoring his sixth goal in nine games.
For the home side, Gillingham left-back Joe Martin begins a three-game suspension after his sending-off at Crawley in midweek.
Cody McDonald is expected to be recalled to the matchday squad, while Amine Linganzi is close to a return following hamstring trouble.
