PREVIEW: Notts County

16 September 2014

Orient looking to continue unbeaten away record

ORIENT travel to Notts County looking to continue their unbeaten run away from home. The O's have played seven away from home in all competitions this season and are yet to be defeated however are in desperate need of three points to bounceback from the 2-0 defeat to Colchester at the weekend, whilst O's boss Russell Slade has made clear his job could be in on the line if his side fail to win against his old club.

The home side are playing on the back of a good 0-0 draw with high-flying Peterborough United at the weekend and have made a far superior start to this campaign than the last with Shaun Derry guiding the side to eight points from six games so far.

Slade was boosted by the return of Dean Cox and Jobi McAnuff at the weekend who were fit enough to come off the bench and Shaun Batt was back in the squad, whilst Romain Vincelot returns from suspension. Adam Legzdins is missing with a fractured finger, Lloyd James (thigh) and Gary Sawyer (knee) are still out whilst Kevin Lisbie remains sidelined longer term with a shoulder injury.

Magpies manager Derry lost defenders Hayden Mullins and Mike Edwards to injury in the build-up to the weekend's draw with Peterborough United and neither is likely to feature on Tuesday night.

Jimmy Spencer has been ruled out for the remainder of the season with a serious knee injury, whilst Kyle Dixon, who picked up an ankle injury in pre-season, has returned to training but is again likely to miss out as he continues his recovery to full fitness.

Garry Thompson returned to training last week too and could be available for selection, should Derry choose to make changes to the side that performed so well at London Road on Saturday, whilst Blair Adams remains sidelined going into the game.

O's fans are expected to travel in numbers and tickets are available to buy from Notts County on the evening for prices click here
