PREVIEW: Orient v Doncaster Rovers

14 April 2015

O's look to extend unbeaten run

FORM:

Now unbeaten in four matches, Leyton Orient remain narrowly above the relegation zone following their 1-1 draw against Crewe on the weekend. The O’s failed to make the most of their second half chances and despite moving up to 19th, only remain outside the bottom four on goal difference.

Doncaster are currently 13th in League 1 having seen their Play-Off hopes falter with their recent dip of form. Paul Dickov’s men have only managed to register two wins out of their previous eight matches and were held to a 1-1 draw at home to Rochdale on Saturday.

TEAM NEWS:

Dean Cox and Jay Simpson both remain serious doubts for the O’s on Tuesday as the pair both missed the trip to Crewe with respective injuries. Gary Woods was also absent through a back injury but could return to the squad, especially following the news that Charlie Grainger will miss the remainder of the season due to suffering a broken finger in training. Meanwhile, Lloyd James and Andrea Dossena are pushing for starts having both dropped to the bench on the weekend.

Doncaster have no fresh injury concerns going into the match but Paul Keegan and Luke McCullough remain on the sidelines due to knee injuries. Harry Forrester and Jonson Clarke-Harris both came on as second half substitutes against Rochdale and could be handed starts at the Matchroom Stadium.

LAST TIME HERE:

Leyton Orient 0

Doncaster Rovers 2

12.9.2012

The last time Orient hosted Doncaster it was the visitors who claimed the spoils with a 2-0 victory thanks to first half goals from Iain Hume and David Cotterill. The defeat ended a four-match unbeaten run for the O’s as they failed to find a way through a resolute Rovers defence.
