O’s mascot Theo the wyvern, dropped into local hospital Whipps Cross to help bring a smile to those children unfortunate enough to be in hospital during the Easter holidays and also helped deliver Easter eggs graciously donated but First Class Facilities Management Limited.

It’s the second time recently that Theo has popped in to visit the youngsters and staff of Acorn children’s ward, having been there over the Christmas period when Nathan Clarke and Romain Vincelot helped to bring smiles to those spending time on the ward.

Eleanor Francis, Community Fundraiser, said, “Once again Barts Charity would like to say a huge thank you to Leyton Orient for their continued support. Theo’s visit to Acorn Ward at Whipps Cross Hospital really put a smile on the face of patients and staff alike. The young patients loved having him there to spread a little cheer and chocolate at Easter. The holidays can be a particularly tough time to be away from friends and family, so it was fantastic to have some extra help – thank you!”

Theo will also be making an appearance at his end of season party along with all the players! This will be held on Sunday from 12pm-2pm in the Gallery at the Matchroom Stadium.
