PREVIEW: Orient v Bristol Rovers

28 August 2015

All the information ahead of tomorrow's visit of Bristol Rovers

Leyton Orient host in-form Bristol Rovers tomorrow as the O’s bid to extend their strong start to the season

The O’s had to battle to pick up the three points last weekend with a 3-2 victory at Newport County, which was sealed by Dean Cox’s second half strike after the Exiles had pegged back Orient’s early 2-0 lead given to them with goals from strikers Paul McCallum and Jay Simpson.

The win was Ian Hendon’s side fourth in a row in the League and they remain in top spot in League Two going into the fixture, with Wycombe Wanderers their closest rivals on 10 points, followed by Plymouth Argyle, Bristol Rovers and Hartlepool United on nine.

Darrell Clarke’s outfit have bounced back from their opening-day defeat to Northampton Town in fine style with three straight wins.  Those victories have come against Yeovil Town (1-0), Luton Town (1-0) and Barnet (3-1). They also possess a 20-game unbeaten run away from home.

O’s TEAM NEWS

BETTING (Odds from League Sponsor SkyBet at the time of story being published)

Table-toppers Leyton Orient take on another side to have made a fine start this season, with fourth-placed Bristol Rovers the visitors to the Matchroom Stadium.

The O’s are a shade of odds-on at 19/20 to make it five wins out of five in Sky Bet League 2 this season, and can take confidence from the fact they’ve won their last five encounters with the Pirates, scoring 17 goals in total across those games.

Rovers, though, have won their last three away games and are 14/5 to take the points in this one. The draw is 5/2. Paul McCallum is 9/2 to open the scoring, with Ollie Palmer and Jay Simpson both 5/1 shots.
