Head Coach Ian Hendon knows the O’s have to cut out their mistakes as they look to get back to winning ways tomorrow when Yeovil Town visit the Matchroom Stadium.Orient have created a number of chances in recent weeks and Hendon is keen for an improvement in both boxes against the Glovers as they look to bounce back from their 3-0 FA Cup Second Round replay loss at Scunthorpe United on Tuesday.
“After a defeat everyone is a bit down, especially with the prize that was at stake in midweek, but the best thing is to get in another game in as quick as possible and try to put that right.,” Hendon told leytonorient.com.
“If we perform as we have been doing in the last few games and cut out the mistakes we will get back to winning ways – it is as simple as that.
“We are not getting outplayed by teams, we are just getting punished for our mistakes. . It is clear that we need to take our chances when we create them and punish the opposition.”
Yeovil come into the game in the relegation zone, but a late rally last weekend against Barnet saw them pick up a point in a 2-2 draw, , and Hendon is wary of the threat they pose.
“They came from behind last weekend so as I keep saying every week it is going to be a tough game. There isn’t going to be an easy game in this division,” he added.
“We have to worry about ourselves though. We will show them respect, but it is all about what we do tomorrow.”
