Last season's top goalscorer opts for move elsewhere
Striker Chris Dagnall has opted to pursue options elsewhere and sign for Indian Super League side Kerala Blasters.
The 29-year-old finished as the club’s top goalscorer last season, netting 13 goals during the Sky Bet League One campaign.
Dagnall spoke with O's new head coach Ian Hendon, and was offered a contract to remain with the O’s, but the striker has opted for a new challenge abroad.
Dagnall had joined the O’s in January 2014 after his release from Barnsley, and in total, netted 20 goals during 62 appearances in E10.
And on the news, Dagnall told www.leytonorient.com: "I have enjoyed my 18 months with the club and I have some great memories over the course of that period.
"I would like to take the opportunity to thank all the fans for their support they have given to me and the club during my time here. They were very welcoming from the minute I joined and I can only thank them for that.
"This will be a new challenge for me over in India and a completely new environment, country and culture, but one I look forward to."
The club would like to thank Chris for his service during his time with the O's and wish him all the best for the future.
