LOAN ROUND-UP: Woods and Ross County lose out

2 November 2015

A round-up of all Leyton Orient players currently out on loan

Gary Woods (Dundee United v Ross County)

The O’s goalkeeper saw his Ross County side fall to a 1-0 away defeat at Dundee United in the Scottish Premiership on Saturday.

It was the 25-year-old’s fifth start County since joining on a six-month loan on transfer deadline day, but was unable to keep his second clean sheet as Billy McKay’s 81st minute penalty sealed victory for Dundee United.

Ross County’s next game is against Premiership champions Celtic on Sunday.

Harry Lee  (Guiseley v Welling United National League)

O’s Harry Lee played the full 90 minutes as Welling United lost out 2-0 at Guiseley on Saturday.

A brace from new Guiseley signing Anthony Dudley proved enough to seal defeat for Lee and the Wings and they now find themselves in 18th spot in the National League.

Fellow Orient midfielder Sandro Semedo has returned from his loan spell with the Kent club, and following Saturday’s game, Lee has since returned to the O’s ahead of their FA Cup first round game with Staines Town at the weekend.

Jack Humphrey and Sam Ling (Cheshunt v Heybridge Swifts – FA Trophy)

O’s young defenders Sam Ling and Jack Humphrey were unable to build on their clean sheet and 2-0 win over Aveley last midweek as Swifts slipped to a 2-0  FA Trophy defeat at Cheshunt.

Both Ling and Humphrey remained on the pitch for the entire match but goals from Adam Bolle and Kyle Asante either side of half time was enough for the Ambers to pick up a victory and progress to the second qualifying round.

The duo will be hoping to get back to winning ways when Heybridge host Soham Town Rangers at Scraley Road.
