Orient WFC enjoy York occasion

27 November 2015

Leyton Orient Women's Football Club (Orient WFC) were introduced to the crowd at half-time in Leyton Orient's home game versus York on Saturday.

The players got an excellent reception from the crowd, thoroughly enjoyed the day and Leyton Orient's 3-2 victory! The team are pictured in shirts from the charity, Kick It Out and from the Leyton Orient Trust as part of both charities support for diversity in football and female football development.

The positive vibes continued into their home match the next day with a 5-0 victory over Bexhill United as they extended their unbeaten run to five games.

Orient WFC now sit in third place in the London & South East Regional Women’s League Premier Division and are away at second-placed Carshalton Athletic on Sunday and league leaders AFC Wimbledon, in three weeks, as they seek to push for the title and promotion to the FA Women's Premier League.

Highlights of the team's victory over Bexhill can be seen on the team's YouTube channel, OrientWFC.
