Head Coach Ian Hendon previews tomorrow's home game with York CityO's Head Coach Ian Hendon is looking for a positive reaction from his side as they prepare to host York City tomorrow.
The O’s come into the game on the back of a 3-1 defeat at Hartlepool and after a solid week of training, Hendon is eager for his side to bounce back with a home win.
“After every defeat you are looking for a reaction,” he told leytonorient.com.
“There has been a lot said about one thing or another, but we have been out working hard on the training ground and done our homework and we have to put that into practice tomorrow.”
“We have spent a little bit more time on the training ground then we usually would, but that would have happened regardless.
Hendon and the coaching staff were watching on from the stands as new York City boss Jackie McNamara got off to a losing start when they went down 2-1 at home to League Two leaders Plymouth Argyle last Saturday.
“We went to watch their game against Plymouth Argyle last weekend and it was always going to be a tough game for them,” he added.
“They try and play the right way, and have that experience with Johnathan Greening. They have got threats in their team and it is another tough game.
The O’s will be missing goalkeeper Charlie Grainger with an expected appendicitis, but can welcome back Alex Cisak from international duty and will include new loan signing Cole Kpekawa in the matchday squad.
“Charlie is out with an expected appendicitis, so Sam Sargeant will be on the bench and Alex is back. We have also been able to bring in Cole. He is a good addition who can cover at both centre half and left back.”
