A quick look at Leyton Orient's youngsters out on loan
Jack Humphrey and Victor Adeboyejo - Wivenhoe Town v Heybridge Swifts Essex Senior Cup Third Round
The O’s youngsters Humphrey and Adeboyejo both got a place in the starting line-up for Heybridge after signing for the team on loan earlier in the day.
The Swifts were victorious in the end, winning 7-6 on penalties as the game finished 2-2 after the initial 90 minutes.
Humphrey remained on the pitch until the full-time whistle and Adeboyejo was subbed off after 85 minutes as Wivenhoe got the lead goal in the 14th minute when Hasan Ayten’s corner was headed in with a deflection off Ben Lampon.
Ten minutes after half-time the Swifts levelled as a cross found Jack Bonham who scored with an impressive back-heel.
Just two minutes after, Heybridge scored again to get the upper hand as substitute Billy Hunt hit the post with his strike and George Doyle put the rebound in the back of the net.
But the Dragons weren’t going to go down easy and they scored an equalising goal from Andy Schofield in the 88th minute.
The game then went straight to penalties due to the Essex Senior Cup rules where the Swifts won the game, beating their opponents 7-6 with Jack Humphrey scoring one for the Swifts.
Heybridge Swifts are now in the fourth round of the Cup and will want to progress further in the next fixture. The draw for round four will be decided following the conclusion of the remaining round three matches, which are due to be played up until November 14.
The O's duo could potentially feature in the Swifts game on Saturday at home against Cheshunt FC, who are 14 places higher in the table and have lost just one game in their last nine.
