PREVIEW: Notts County (H)

2 October 2015

All of the information for the O's latest home match

Leyton Orient host Notts County at The Matchroom Stadium tomorrow hoping to end a run of six League fixtures without a win.

Despite creating a number of opportunities against Carlisle United on Tuesday night, the O’s were denied by the woodwork on three occasions before suffering their first home defeat of the season, falling to a 2-1 loss.

Notts County, who like Orient suffered relegation from League One last season, come into the weekend on the back of a 1-1 draw with Dagenham and Redbridge, and are currently in 13th place.

Summer signing Adam Campbell had given Ricardo Moniz’s side a first-half lead but the Daggers equalised on the 72nd minute courtesy of Jodi Jones’ strike from distance. With just over ten minutes left to play Izale McLeod could have won the tie from the penalty spot but his effort was kept out by Liam O’Brien who denied the Magpies their third successive victory.

Balint Bajner scored his first goal for Notts County as the Magpies beat basement boys Leyton Orient in a League 1 clash on a night when all the bottom four sides lost, leaving the O’s six points short of safety.

The striker, on loan from Ipswich, played a one-two with Curtis Thompson, before firing past debutant ‘keeper Alex Cisak after just 20 minutes to lift County up to 14th as they recorded their first win in five to move to within four points of the play-offs.

TEAM NEWS

Defender Adam Chicksen could make his second debut for the O’s after signing on a one-month loan from Brighton and Hove Albion. The 24-year-old completed his return to E10 earlier on today and could go straight into the side for the visit of Notts County.

The O’s will be without Paul McCallum however as scans revealed the striker requires surgery on his knee ruling him out for at least six months, but that is the only injury Orient have going into the weekend.

For the Magpies midfielder Jack Barmby could be handed his first start since arriving on loan from Leicester City. The 20-year-old has come off the bench in each of the past two fixtures but could be given the chance to impress from the start on Saturday.

Rob Milson returned to training earlier this week following a knee injury but is likely this weekend will come too soon for him and fellow midfielder Kyle De Silva.

BETTING (Odds provided by Football League sponsors Sky Bet and correct at the time of preview)

Leyton Orient are the odds-on favourites at 5/6 for victory at home to Notts County on Saturday afternoon. The visiting Magpies are on offer at 100/30 to spring a surprise and the draw can be backed at 5/2.

Three of the last four O’s contests have finished 1-1 and you can get 5/1 with Sky Bet for 1-1 to be the scoreline at the end of this clash.

Orient striker Jay Simpson heads the first goalscorer betting at 4/1 and you can back his team-mate Mathieu Baudry, who netted in the 2-1 midweek defeat against Carlisle, at 20/1 to open the scoring.
