French defender discusses E10 move
New signing Teddy Mezague is excited at the prospect of playing English football after completing the move to Leyton Orient.
The defender signed a three-year deal with the O’s and told leytonorient.com: “This is a great opportunity for me to come to England and whilst playing in France and Belgium, coming to London had always been a dream of mine.
“The club has big ambitions and wants to achieve promotion this season and I hope I will be able to help them achieve this.
“I like the style and atmosphere of English football and when the club contacted me about the possibility of coming here I accepted straight away. I am very happy to have signed for Orient, the level of competition in England is very different to what I have played in before and, as I have previously said, it is dream for me to be here.
The 26-year-old is currently out with an Achilles tendon injury picked up in May, but is eager to make an impression on his return to fitness.
“I am frustrated that I cannot play straight away, but I hope to be fit as soon as possible. I will work hard in my recovery, and I am pleased to say it is going well at the minute,” he added.
