Winger after good start to home league campaign
yton Orient winger Dean Cox believes it's imperative for the O’s to get their home league campaign up and running with three points over Newport County tomorrow.
Having opened the league season with a 1-1 draw at Cheltenham Town last weekend, Orient produced a strong showing in the EFL Cup defeat at the hands of Fulham on Tuesday, with Cox coming off the bench and assisting both of Paul McCallum’s goals in the 3-2 loss.
And now Cox, who celebrates his 29th birthday today, is keen to build on the impressive performance and force his way into Andy Hessenthaler’s starting XI for tomorrow.
The O’s longest-serving playing also talks about what it’s like to be back following the cruciate knee ligament injury picked up last season.
