REACTION: Hessenthaler -'We were terrific first half'

6 August 2016

O's boss reflects on Cheltenham point

Leyton Orient manager Andy Hessenthaler praised the performance of his players during the first half of their 1-1 draw at Cheltenham Town.

Speaking after the match, Hessenthaler felt the O's deserved to go into the break ahead thanks to Gavin Massey's third minute strike, though admitted better quality in the final third would have made the match much more comfortable.

Billy Waters' 76th minute equaliser denied Orient an opening day victory, but Hessenthaler was keen to highlight several players defensive displays whilst also admitting central defender Tom Parkes is likely to miss the visit of Fulham on Tuesday night having dislocated his shoulder at Whaddon Road.
