Five set to be involved in festive fixtures in non-league

Five of the O’s youngsters have headed out to non-league clubs ahead of the festive fixtures.

Third-year scholar Sam Alderson has made a successful recovery from his broken ankle and after an earlier this season at Cambridge City, will now head to fellow Southern Premier Division side St Neots Town.

He will be joined at The Saints by second year scholar Rian McLean and both could feature in their Boxing Day encounter at home to Biggleswade Town.

The under-18s top goalscorer Tristan Abrahams will also ply his trade in the same league as Alderson and McLean as he heads out to Cambridge City where he is eligible to face their local rivals St Ives.

Under-18 goalkeeper Sam Roach has already had loans this season with Barkingside and Cray Wanderers and will now test himself further by heading to Southern League Division One South side Histon, where he could make his debut against Steve Castle’s Royston Town on Boxing Day.

Fellow second year scholar Pat Adamson is another to head out to gain senior men’s football experience as he has linked up with Ryman North side Soham Town Rangers ahead of their clash at home to Bury Town.
