REACTION: Massey - 'We can't get carried away'

12 December 2016

Midfielder's relief to get long awaited home win

Orient winger Gavin Massey admitted it was a massive relief to pick up a first home win since August, and now feels the challenge is to push on from the 1-0 win over Accrington Stanley.

Jay Simpson's second half strike sealed a much-needed three points, and the 24-year-old felt at times the O's play was nervy having struggled at home so far this term, but always believed they would come out on top.

Accrington were reduced to 10 men when Massey was brought down outside the box by Sean McConville after 23 minutes and the midfielder felt the red card was worthy for the infringement.

Massey feels the last two weeks without a fixture have been very beneficial with new manager Andy Edwards and now is challenging the O's to go to in-form Wycombe Wanderers and produce another positive performance.
