Defender pleased to keep up unbeaten run under Nolan on the roadLeyton Orient’s matchwinner at the weekend Shaun Brisley admitted the O’s had to dig deep at times to come out on top against Notts County.
The 26-year-old’s first goal for the Club was enough to see the O’s pick up their third away win in succession, and the defender was delighted with both the clean sheet and the all-important goal.
“It’s almost a perfect day for a defender, with a clean sheet and a winner, but it is also great result for the team away from home,” Brisley told Orient PlayerHD.
“We set out to get the three points, which is what we have done. We have had to dig deep at times but you have to do that in most away games and we have shown we have got that side to our game. That is only going to benefit us for the rest of the season.
He added: “The performance was good overall. The conditions didn’t help and sometimes we didn’t play as much football as we would have liked but away from home we have put the ball in behind them.”
