Young O's end Alliance League with victoryOrient Under-18s ended the Football League Youth Alliance South East Division with a solid 3-1 win against MK Dons.
Goals in the first half from Josh Koroma, Christian Owusu and Rian McLean put the O’s on course for victory, and though MK Dons scored a second-half consolation, Andy Edwards’ side went on to pick up their 12th league win of the campaign.
Koroma broke the deadlock against Dons with a good finish following some neat build-up play , and the goalscorer was in the thick of the action after winning the O’s a penalty later in a half they dominated from start to finish.
Christian Owusu stepped up but was unable to convert the spot-kick, however, he got a second bite of the cherry when he was felled in the box and the referee pointed to the spot once again.
This time he made no mistake and scored his 11th goal of the campaign to double the O’s advantage.
Two then became three as Orient mounted a quick counter attack, which McLean superbly finished for his second goal in as many games.
After the break the O’s were once again on top, but failed to turn that into another goal. The visitors did look more of a threat as the half wore on, and scored a consolation effort with 65 minutes on the clock.
The result saw Edwards’ side end the campaign in third place, and ensuring a spot in the Merit League One, with the opening fixtures yet to be arranged.
