Winger on O's move
Winger Gavin Massey was attracted to the O’s by his ambition, and has set his immediate target as promotion back to League One.
The 23-year-old signed a three-year deal with the O’s for an undisclosed fee from now fellow League Two side Colchester United, and is eager to make an instant impact in E10.
“I am really looking forward to it,” Massey told leytonorient.com. “It is a new challenge for me and I can't wait to get going.
“Every time I have come here to play against Leyton Orient it has always been a good game with great fans and I am looking forward to the start of the season.”
Massey joins having spent four seasons with the U’s, and is now keen to help his new team-mates get back into League One.
“What attracted me here was the ambition of the club, and the aim of getting back into League One,” he added.
“The club should never be in League Two and will be looking to replicate the season where it nearly went into the Championship. I can see the ambition from everyone at the club and I want to be part of that.”
