Midfielder keen to keep up promotion run

New Leyton Orient signing Robbie Weir believes he has what it takes to help the O’s win promotion back to League One.

The 27-year-old penned a two-year deal, with an option to extend, to become Orient’s first signing of the summer, and having played, and won promotion from the division with former club Burton Albion.

“It’s a new fresh start for me and another challenge,” Weir told leytonorient.com.

“I have played in these leagues for the last three or four years. I know what it is all about and what it takes to get out of this league. The club have a massive chance of getting out of the league and hopefully I can push that on a little further.

“It was good at Burton Albion. I had some fantastic times there – being promoted twice  from League Two into League One and then into the Championship and I am looking to produce similar things here at Leyton Orient.

“The club, Chairman and the manager here are all pushing to get promotion and that’s what drove me to sign for Leyton Orient.”
