James among released playersThe Club can confirm the release of Frazer Shaw, Connor Essam, Jobi McAnuff, Blair Turgott, Bradley Pritchard and Gary Woods when their contracts with Leyton Orient expire on June 30, 2016.
The one-year option on defender Nicky Hunt’s contract has been implemented.
However, the O’s also bid farewell to defender and captain Mathieu Baudry, along with midfielder Lloyd James.
Baudry was offered a contract to remain with the O's earlier in the season, however, has opted to pursue options elsewhere.
The pair both joined the Club in the summer of 2012 with Baudry making the switch from Bournemouth and James following a spell with Colchester United.
Both made their debuts in a penalty shoot-out win in the League Cup at Charlton Athletic with Baudry netting on his first start for the O’s.
The Frenchman went on to make 157 appearances in an Orient shirt and netted 10 goals, while also being appointed Club Captain at the start of the 2015-16 season.
James, 28, had to battle his way back from a broken leg in the 2014-15 season and then an Achilles injury this season, however the Wales U21 international made 137 appearances for the Club, scoring 11 goals, five of which came this term.
The Club would like to place on record its thanks to all the players leaving the Matchroom Stadium and we wish them all the very best for the future.
