POLLOCK - 'I need to keep pushing on and working hard'

12 May 2016

Defender keen to come back ready and raring to go for next season

It's been a big couple of weeks for young defender Aron Pollock and he's already looking to come back even stronger next season.

Having featured on the O's bench on seven occasions during the 2015-16 campaign, the defender made his debut in the 1-0 home win over Mansfield Town, picking up the man-of-the-match award in the process.

It got even better for Pollock as he signed his first professional deal with the O's last Friday, before making his second start in the 1-0 victory at Yeovil Town the following day, though came off with a slight ankle injury.

Pollock has taken it all in his stride and is delighted with how these last few weeks have gone.

"Mansfield was a great experience for me. To make my debut at home in front of all the fans was amazing and to get the man of the match award was even better," Pollock told leytonorient.com.

"I have set my standards quite high but hopefully I can deal with that. I just need to keep pushing on and working harder."
