Another opportunity for youngsters to impressAndy Hessenthaler believes it's important to gauge how the O's youngsters cope at senior level ahead of their final League Two game of the season at Yeovil Town.
Aron Pollock made his senior debut for the side in the 1-0 home win over Mansfield Town last weekend, while both Sandro Semedo and Josh Koroma enjoyed positive home debuts, with the 50-year-old keen to see the current crop of O's Academy players fare in a second outing.
"It is important to see how they get on in the first-team environment," said Hessenthaler.
"Pollock has only just turned 18 and the lad has a bright future but we need to start gauging him and the likes of Sandro and Josh at senior level. They coped well last weekend but that's one game and they will get another chance this weekend."
Hessenthaler acknowledged the disappointment of failing to reach the Play-Offs, but admitted it is imperative to end the campaign on a positive note.
"It was good to end with a win at home last weekend but as we said before we are massively disappointed to have not reached the Play-Offs," he added.
"The players have kept going and you can't say that they have downed tools. We monitor the work they do throught the GPS units and they are working hard and I have asked them to go down to Yeovil and be professional.
"I know there isn't anything for either team to play for, but let's do it right and let's try and get us a win to end the season on a high."
