A tour of the main building, new extension and surrounding play areas was presented expertly including a visit to the sensory and music rooms.
Aastha Gill, Community and Events Assistant at the hospice, commented afterwards:
“On behalf of Haven House Children’s Hospice, I would like to thank Jay and Theo for your kind visit to our hospice and to help promote our Pumpkin Plod last week. We are thrilled to reveal that we were officially sold out for the day with 500 plodders and the event has raised and amazing £12,600 and the sponsorships are still rolling.
“Also, thank you so much for donating the signed Leyton Orient football. Our team will use it as an auction or raffle prize in the upcoming events. Simply, without compassionate people like you and your support, our team will not be able to raise as much funds to support the children and families we care for, so thank you again for helping make this possible.
“As you are aware, Haven House provides a range of support to life-limited children and their families to support them through the most difficult circumstances imaginable. This includes planned respite, short break and end-of-life care, as well as services designed to improve emotional and physical wellbeing, across The White House, our Holistic Care Centre and in our local community.
“On behalf of all the staff, volunteers, children and families at Haven House, a huge thank you to team Leyton Orient again for your generosity and continued support.”
