PREVIEW: Weir - 'We need a big performance'

25 November 2016

O's skipper eager for positive result

Orient captain Robbie Weir admits now is the time to put in a big performance ahead of the trip to Doncaster Rovers.

The O's slipped to 22nd in the table following Tuesday's 1-0 loss to Exeter City and after relieving Alberto Cavasin on his managerial duties on Wedneday, Andy Edwards steps up to take charge of the side on a permanent basis until the end of the season.

Weir hopes to help Edwards get his reign off to a positive start at the Keepmoat Stadium, and with just nine points separating the league's bottom side Newport Couny and Grimsby Town in sixth, the skipper believes a good run of results now can help the O's get their season back on track.
