REACTION: Kennedy - 'Things have to change'

28 November 2016

Defender on Rovers defeat

O's defender Callum Kennedy feels it's only a matter of time before results change for the better if they continue to give maximum effort and train hard.

Orient lost 3-1 at Doncaster Rovers at the weekend in Andy Edwards' first game as boss and while disappointed with the result feels things will change sooner rather than later for the O's.

Kennedy netted his first goal for the club with a cracker of a free-kick to give Orient the lead at the weekend, and while pleased with the strike, the 27-year-old was frustrated it couldn't have been the catalyst for a positive result.

Edwards' side looked like heading into the half-time interval in front, but Jordan Houghton's strike in the first minute of stoppage time ensured parity, and disappointingly for Kennedy he believed that goal gave the hosts confidence to kick on and ultimately secure the win thanks to two Liam Mandeville penalties.
