O's manager seeking home improvementsO’s boss Alberto Cavasin is calling for his side to build on their positive second half showing against Hartlepool when Crewe Alexandra arrive in E10 tomorrow afternoon.
A 3-1 come-from-behind victory at Victoria Park marked the 60-year-old’s first win since becoming O’s boss earlier this month, and after seeing plenty of positives on the road, is keen to turn around the home form from tomorrow.
“I was pleased with the reaction of the players in the second half last weekend, especially having conceded just before half time,” he told leytonorient.com
“Of course, there are still areas where we need to improve and having had another full week with the players on the training pitch, hopefully the work we have put in will be evident tomorrow.”
The O’s have won only once at home in the league this season, and Cavasin knows the key to pushing on up the table is to turn the form around at the Matchroom Stadium.
“We need to build on last week’s win,” he added. “There is no reason why we cannot start replicating the away results at home and if we are to start moving up the table the results and performances must improve.
“Every day we are growing as a team and I do believe we can start to put together a good run and start making a move up the table.
On the challenge Crewe pose tomorrow, Cavasin remarked: “They are a good solid team who like to play their football on the ground.
“They are a well organised team and though results have not quite gone their way of late, they will be keen to come here and pick up the points.”
