PREVIEW: Edwards - 'We know it will be a difficult challenge'

9 September 2016

O's assistant manager on trip to Brunton Park

Orient assistant manager Andy Edwards admits it will be another strong test of their credentials when the O's head to unbeaten Carlisle United tomorrow.

Keith Curle's side have the only unbeaten record in the division, having won two and drawn four of their League Two encounters to date as they sit in ninth place going into  the match.

Confidence is growing in the O's camp though, having won their last two matches - a 3-1 Checkatrade Trophy success over Stevenage and 2-1 league victory at Morecambe last weekend - and Edwards feels the week has gone well on the training pitch ahead of the clash with the Cumbrians.

Orient will head to Brunton Park without striker Jay Simpson who continues his recovery from a back injury, but Edwards is hoping the leading goalscorer from last season will return to training next week ahead of the fixture at home to Yeovil Town.

For the full interview with Edwards, head to Orient PlayerHD, available from as little as £4.49 a month.
