REACTION: Hunt - 'It was a massive battle from the first minute to the last'

28 September 2016

Defender proud of team spirit despite early dismissals

Club captain Nicky Hunt hailed his teammates following their valiant display in difficult circumstances during the O's defeat to league leaders Plymouth Argyle on Tuesday night.

Despite suffering the 2-0 reverse, the 33-year-old praised the preparation of the team going into the game and the character shown following the early red cards to captain Robbie Weir and Jens Janse inside the opening 14 minutes.

Whilst keen to take positives from the game, Hunt - who took the armband after Liam Kelly was forced off on the 12th minute through injury - has called for the O's to show a similar level of commitment for the rest of the season if they are to achieve their goal of promotion, starting at Barnet on Saturday.
