ROUND UP: A look at how the O's fared out on loan

13 September 2016

Moncur stars on second Wingate debut

Sammy Moore – Dover Athletic

Midfielder Moore played 81 minutes as the Whites picked up a win by the odd goal in seven at home to Forest Green Rovers in the National League.

Dover’s cause was helped by a Ricky Miller hat-trick as he sealed the win from the penalty spot on 87 minutes, with Ross Lafayette also on the scoresheet for Chris Kinnear’s side, and they now lie in eighth  spot in the National League table ahead of tonight’s fixture at Dagenham & Redbridge.

Michael Clark – East Thurrock United

Young defender Clark remained on the pitch for the entire 90 minutes as the Rocks picked up a 1- home draw with Dartford in the National League South.

Ben Marlow put John Coventry’s side in front, before Ryan Hayes equalised for the Darts.

The Rocks followed that up with a solid point at Chelmsford City in a 2-2 draw last night. The visitors went in front on two separate occasions through Reece Harris and Joe Gardner, but had to settle for a share of the spoils after Shaun Jeffers’ injury time equaliser.

Clark could be in action again this weekend when they host Bishop’s Stortford on Saturday.

Sam Alderson – Cambridge City

Alderson’s loan with City has been cut short after picking up a broken ankle in the 2-1 defeat to St Ives Town on August 29.

Freddy Moncur – Wingate & Finchley (pictured)

The midfielder joined the Ryman Premier side on a 28-day loan, and got his second spell at the Harry Abrahams Stadium off to a flyer with two goals in a 4-1 win at Worthing.

Other goals for the visitors came from Ola Williams and John Mbamarh in the victory as they moved up to 19th place in the table as a result of the win, and they are due to travel to Harrow Borough in the Ryman League Cup tonight.

Sam Roach – Barkingside

Goalkeeper Sam Roach featured for Side in their 2-1 Essex Senior League win over Basildon, and they came from behind to secure the victory.

Daryl Cooper gave Basildon the lead, but goals from Sam Edwards and substitute Kerkstun MacPherson.

Roach will be hoping to help the side to another when they travel to Wadham Lodge on Wednesday night.
