HOSPITALITY: Three former O's revealed as matchday hosts

7 August 2017

There was a surprise for diners & sponsors at the friendly against Arsenal last week in the form of our new matchday host, Kevin Dickenson.

Kevin is a local boy, born in Hackney, who joined the O’s in 1985 when Frank Clark signed him on a free transfer from Charlton.  He went on to play 231 games at left back for the club between 1985 and 1992 and was a member of the promotion winning squad in 1989.
Joining Kevin on our matchday team are two colleagues from that successful 1989 season; Kevin Hales & Terry Howard.

Kevin was another Frank Clark signing, joining us from Chelsea in 1983 and he made over 350 appearances for the club, scoring 25 goals.

Terry Howard played 381 times for the club and scored 35 times in a decade at Brisbane Road. Another player to have started his career at Chelsea, ‘Oooh’ Terry Howard was one of the most popular and consistent players in our history, once playing 114 consecutive matches before being ruled out through injury.
The three ex players will each appear throughout the season to chat to sponsors and diners, and will no doubt have a few stories to tell of life at Brisbane Road in the 1980s, and in particular the play-off win over Wrexham, in which all three players featured.
