Defender auctions boots to raise money for Whipps Cross HospitalClub captain Nicky Hunt is auctioning his goalscoring boots to raise money for Whipps Cross Hospital.
The 33-year-old scored his first goal for the O's, and only the third of his 17-year professional career, in the 3-0 victory at Colchester United last November and is now looking to put those boots to a good cause by raising money for the local hospital's childrens ward.
Hunt visited the Acorn Ward at Whipps Cross in the week prior to Christmas along with Robbie Weir, Callum Kennedy and club mascot Theo to hand out presents to young patients, and having been moved by the visit is keen to continue to show his support for the fantastic work that goes on.
To bid on Nicky's boots (starting price £100) simply email firstname.lastname@example.org with the subject "Hunt Auction", your name and the amount you would like to bid for the item. Whoever has placed the highest bid by 5pm on Friday, February 17, will be contacted to arrange payment and further details.
All proceeds from this auction will go directly to Whipps Cross Hospital's Acorn Ward.
