Striker set for shorter spell on the sidelines
Orient have received a big boost with the news that the knee injury picked up striker Paul McCallum last weekend is not as bad as first feared.
The 23-year-old went down late on in the 2-0 loss at Mansfield Town, and was stretchered off before leaving the ground on crutches.
Scan results have shown there is no repeat of the ACLinjury the striker picked up last season and is likely to miss out for a shorter period of time.
On the news, O’s boss Danny Webb said: “It is a big boost for us to hear the news Paul is not out for as long as we first feared.
“It looked very serious at the time and there were concerns over the knee, but scans have revealed he will be out for weeks, rather than months and that is great for both us, and Paul, as well.”
