PREVIEW: Leyton Orient v Cheltenham Town

24 February 2017

Information and team news ahead of the encounter with the Robins at the Matchroom Stadium tomorrow.

The O’s will be looking to bounce back to winning ways at home when hosting Cheltenham Town tomorrow afternoon.

Orient were edged out 3-2 against Notts County last weekend after Paul McCallum and Teddy Mezague had pulled the O’s back level at 2-2, only for Jon Stead to net a late winner for the Magpies.

Danny Webb’s side go into the game in 23rd spot, two places and three points below tomorrow’s opponents.

Cheltenham picked up a 2-0 win over Yeovil Town last weekend – their first win in four games.

Tin Plavotic gave Gary Johnson’s side the lead three minutes into the second half, before Billy Waters sealed the three points from the penalty spot.

The Robins have picked up 14 of their 32 points on their travels, winning three and drawing five of their 15 away days, with their successes coming at Grimsby Town (1-0), Morecambe (2-1) and Luton Town (3-2).

Orient met Cheltenham at Whaddon Road on the opening day of the League Two season, and the game ended in a 1-1 draw.

Gavin Massey put Orient in front after just three minutes, before Waters levelled with 14 minutes left on the clock.

TEAM NEWS

O’s boss Danny Webb has doubts over defensive trio Tom Parkes, Yvan Erichot and Aron Pollock.

Parkes suffered severe bruising to his pelvis in last weekend’s home defeat to Notts County, while Erichot remains ruled out with a groin injury. Pollock has returned to training, but whether the game comes too soon for the defender remains to be seen.

Robbie Weir continues to recover from his ACL injury, while Nicky Hunt serves the final game of two-match ban and Liam Kelly remains out through suspension.

SKY BET BETTING (correct at the time of writing)

The O's have been priced up by Sky Bet as the 23/10 outsiders to win at home to fellow strugglers Cheltenham on Saturday afternoon.

The Robins are priced up by the EFL sponsors as 6/5 favourites to get the three points and the draw is on offer at 23/10.

Both of Orient's last two games have seen five goals scored and Sky Bet go 11/1 that this contest contains five goals.
