PREVIEW: Billericay Town v Leyton Orient

Information ahead of today's trip to the AGP Arena

29 July 2017

The O’s head to Billericay Town this afternoon (kick-off 3pm), for our penultimate pre-season friendly.

Having recorded three straight victories at Harlow Town, Burnham Ramblers and Greenwich Borough, Orient were held to a goalless draw at AFC Hornchurch on Tuesday night.

Despite creating numerous opportunities throughout the evening, the Urchins goalkeeper Sam Mott pulled off several impressive stops to ensure the friendly ended in a draw.

The afternoon sees Billericay Town host their first fixture at the new-look AGP Arena, and Owner/Manager Glenn Tamplin will be demanding a strong performance from his players as they aim to achieve promotion from the Bostik Premier Division.

Billericay get their 2017-18 campaign underway on August 12 at home to Kingstonian, and drew 3-3 in their most recent pre-season friendly at Heybridge Swifts on Tuesday night.

The O’s most recent addition Josh Coulson is in line to feature after joining on loan from Cambridge United yesterday (Friday) evening.

The 28-year-old has agreed a move to E10 until January, and will meet his new teammates for the first time today at the AGP Arena as Head Coach Steve Davis continues to prepare for the O’s opening day trip to Sutton United next Saturday.

Midfielder Freddy Moncur could also get his first minutes of pre-season having penned a new one-year deal at the Matchroom Stadium earlier this week.

Tickets are available on the gate, with prices as followed:

Adults:  £11
Children:  £4
