The O’s head to Greenwich Borough this afternoon (kick-off 3pm) as preparations continue for our 2017-18 Vanarama National League campaign.
Steve Davis’ side will be looking to make it three wins out of three having ran out 10-0 victors at Burnham Ramblers Tuesday night.
Strikes from Tristan Abrahams, Trialist B, Steven Alzate and Ruel Sotiriou ensured the O’s came away from Leslie Field Stadium with an emphatic win.
Orient got off to a bright start with Trialist B powering home the opener on the third minute, and goals continued to flow with Abrahams grabbing two before the 20th minute mark.
Trialist B then claimed his second of the night on the 30th minute, before Abrahams continued his fine form with another three goals in the closing minutes of the half.
Following the restart midfielder Steven Alzate added an eighth with just under 25 minutes remaining, and the scoring was completed by second-year scholar Ruel Sotiriou who notched a brace in the closing stages.
Former O’s players Gary Alexander and John Mackie lead Greenwich Borough and will be hoping for a positive showing from their side, as Borough approach the start of their 2017-18 Bostik Isthmian League Division One South having narrowly missed out on promotion last season.
Head Coach Steve Davis will take a further look at the squad at the DGS Stadium this afternoon, with no fresh injury concerns.
New signings Craig Clay, George Elokobi, Jobi McAnuff and Romuald Boco could all feature for the first time this summer, while midfielder Alex Lawless could return to the squad having sat out Tuesday’s win at Burnham Ramblers due to a facial injury.
