The O’s welcome Dover Athletic to E10 tomorrow (kick-off 3pm) in the Vanarama National League.
Ross Embleton will take his first game as Interim Head Coach and will be hoping to see the O’s respond from the 2-1 defeat at Ebbsfleet United last week.
Andy Drury opened the scoring for the hosts on the seventh minute, before Danny Kedwell doubled the advantage four minutes before the interval. James Dayton pulled one back from distance two minutes from but despite late pressure the O’s couldn’t complete the comeback.
Dover Athletic arrive in E10 sitting top of the National League, with 10 wins, six draws and three defeats from their 19 matches.
The Whites come into the game on the back of a 2-0 win over Eastleigh last week, on-loan striker James Alabi getting off the mark in the 31st minute before Connor Essam wrapped up the points in the 57th minute.
Chris Kinnear’s side narrowly missed out on the play-offs last season, having finished in 6th position.
The O’s will be able to welcome back Macauley Bonne and Joe Widdowson to the squad after they missed Saturday’s defeat to Ebbsfleet. Bonne had been away on international duty with Zimbabwe while Widdowson was serving a one-game suspension.
Jobi McAnuff came off the bench last week as he made his return from a toe injury and will be pushing for a start this weekend.
