7 November 2017

Leyton Orient Trust have submitted a bid to expand their ‘On Your Toes’ project for over 50s in Tower Hamlets, Waltham Forest, Hackney and Redbridge.

The 'On Your Toes' project helps older adults stay physically & mentally active and healthier for longer. The programme offers structured weekly physical and social activities including a monthly networking event.

The project aims to:

1. Reduce social isolation and loneliness
2. Increase regular physical activity levels of older adults
3. Increase strength, coordination and balance of older adults
4. Reduce the risk and fear of older adults having a fall

The monthly networking event at the Matchroom Stadium brings people together to hear about activities in the local community including services, support and social activities.

When you register to vote for Aviva Community Fund you’ll receive 10 votes to use how you wish. To cast your vote for Leyton Orient Trust search for ‘On Your Toes’ or visit: https://www.avivacommunityfund.co.uk/voting/project/view/17-2306
