PREVIEW: Dagenham & Redbridge v Leyton Orient

13 October 2017

The O’s make the short journey to Victoria Road tomorrow (kick-off 3pm) as we face Dagenham & Redbridge in the Emirates FA Cup Fourth Qualifying Round.

Orient come into the game having secured a point in the 2-2 draw away to Barrow AFC last weekend.

The O’s took the lead in the 19th minute through David Mooney but were pegged back four minutes later through Bedsente Gomis. Craig Clay scrambled home from close range in the 27th minute but a Jordan White goal five minutes before the interval meant the points were shared.

Dagenham & Redbridge have started the National League season well, sitting in 6th position with six wins, six draws and three defeats.

The Daggers were left frustrated last week as a Regan Charles-Cook strike from distance in the 78th minute ensured a defeat away to high-flying Woking.

John Still’s side finished in 4th position last season before losing out to Forest Green Rovers in the play-off semi-final.

TEAM NEWS

New signing Zain Westbrook, who joined on a 93-day-loan from Brentford FC on Wednesday, has been granted permission by his parent club to play in the FA Cup and will hope to make his debut.

The O’s will definitely be with Mark Ellis and James Brophy, both of whom have not been provided permission by their parent clubs to play for the Club in the FA Cup this season.

Striker Matt Harrold missed the 2-2 draw at Barrow on Saturday with a calf injury, and the forward is set for a few weeks on the sidelines.
