PREVIEW: Leyton Orient v Guiseley AFC

1 September 2017

The O’s welcome managerless Guiseley AFC to the Matchroom Stadium tomorrow (kick-off 3pm) in the Vanarama National League.

Orient return to E10 on the back of Monday’s 1-0 victory at Maidenhead United which saw Steve Davis’ side cap off a solid opening month to the season.

Macauley Bonne’s sixth minute header was enough to clinch all three points, moving us up to third in the table in the process.

Guiseley will be looking to bounce back from a run of form that has seen them register only one victory from their opening seven games, and ultimately the departure of manager Adam Lockwood this week.

The Lions lost twice over the Bank Holiday weekend, first suffering a 2-0 loss to FC Halifax live on BT Sport before a narrow 1-0 defeat to Hartlepool on Monday.

The West Yorkshire side finished in 20th place last season.

TEAM NEWS

New recruit Matt Harrold will be looking to play some part at the Matchroom Stadium tomorrow having completed his Deadline Day switch from Sky Bet League Two side Crawley Town on Thursday.

The 33-year-old adds another dimension the O’s attacking line, and will be in the matchday squad this weekend.

Jobi McAnuff and David Mooney dropped to the bench for Monday’s trip to Maidenhead United, and after both coming off the bench will be hoping to regain their starting spot against Guiseley.

First Team Captain Charlie Lee is the O’s only long-term absentee after suffering a knee injury in training last week.
