PREVIEW: FC Halifax Town v Leyton Orient

30 January 2018

The O’s make the journey to The Shay this evening (kick-off 7:45pm) to take on FC Halifax Town in the Vanarama National League.

Justin Edinburgh’s side have lost just twice in their previous eight matches and will be looking to take three points back to London in a bid to record their first league win of the new year.

FC Halifax Town welcome Orient to West Yorkshire after having gone five league games without a win, their last came on December 23rd when a 4-0 win over Chester saw them go in to Christmas with back-to-back wins.

Billy Heath’s side will be looking to produce a performance similar to the one shown in the second round of the FA Trophy when they defeated league leaders Macclesfield Town 1-0.

The Shaymen earned promotion from the National League North in the 2016/2017 campaign when they finished third and beat Chorley 2-1 in the finals to return to the National League.

The two sides last met mid-September when the Yorkshire side ran out 3-0 victors before the game on 20th January was postponed due to a frozen pitch.
