LOAN WATCH: Sargeant makes Margate debut while Sotiriou bags for Swifts again

Sam Sargeant made his Margate debut in a 1-1 draw away to Billericay Town after the goalkeeper made the Kent switch last week, on a 28-day loan deal.

The O’s ‘keeper played the full 90 for Margate as his side were held to a draw against the league leaders. The Gate conceded in the 87th minute through Adam Cunnington, after David Martin gave the Kent side the lead in the 45th minute.

Ruel Sotiriou and Toby Stevenson both enjoyed 90 minutes in a 3-3 draw against Grays Athletic. Sotiriou bagged in the 37th minute to put his side 2-1 up before last minute goals from Timothy Monsheju of Heybridge Swifts and Kieran Bishop of Grays meant the two sides shared a point.

Sotiriou’s goal means he now has two goals in three games for the Bostik League North side, who are currently 14th in the league with 31 points.

Midfielder Charley Barker enjoyed 90 minutes for Wingate & Finchley as the North London based club defeated Hendon 1-0.

Barker’s Wingate & Finchley sit in eighth, just three place outside of a play-off place.

Meanwhile, Aron Pollock’s Leatherhead clinched a victory against Leiston in the second half through Sammy Moore, after Tom Derry had equalised for The Tanners in the 40th minute.

Pollock played the full 90 minutes in his third appearance for the Surrey side who currently sit 10th in the Bostik League Premier, and are form having only not lost one in their last seven fixtures.

Fellow central defender Michael Clark’s East Thurrock were on the end of a 4-0 defeat away to Braintree Town, the Orient loanee played the full 90 minutes for the Essex side who sit 12th in the Vanarama National League South table.
