LOAN WATCH: Stevenson features in FA Trophy as Swifts are defeated

16 January 2018

Toby Stevenson completed 90 minutes for Heybridge Swifts in their FA Trophy Second Round tie against National League Maidstone.

The 18-Year-old defender saw his side narrowly defeated in the cup competition after Juan Luque’s 80th minute consolation goal was not enough to spark a come-back for the Swifts.

Meanwhile, goalkeeper Sam Sargeant contributed to Margate’s 3-1 win over Needham Market thanks to a hat-trick from Jordan Chiedozie, son of O's hero John, on Tuesday evening.

Sargeant then kept a clean sheet against top of the table Dulwich Hamlet when a Kane Haysman goal in the 85th minute secured victory for Margate in front of 860 fans.

Aron Pollock enjoyed a 2-1 victory over Merstham and kept a clean sheet over Tonbridge Angels as Sammy Moore's Leatherhead won 1-0 to stretch their winning run to seven games.

Fellow defender Michael Clark helped East Thurrock United keep a clean sheet over Chester as the side completed another National League scalp to see his side progress to the Third Round of the FA Trophy.

Charley Barker’s Wingate & Finchley were on the end of a 1-0 defeat at home to Leiston last Tuesday, the midfielder was replaced by Ben Pattie after 89 minutes.

Barker was then an unused substitute as Wingate & Finchley ran out 2-0 victors at home to Harlow Town.
