Charley Barker produced a man of the match performance as his Wingate & Finchley side defeated Metropolitan Police 1-0 in the Bostik Premier.
The 19-year old played until the final whistle and assisted the winning goal in the 50th minute that evening at the Maurice Rebak Stadium.
Meanwhile, Aron Pollock and former Margate Loanee Sam Sargeant went head-to-head midweek as the Kent side welcomed Leatherhead to Hartsdown Park.
A good result for both meant that the teams played out a goalless draw, as both Orient youngsters enjoyed the full 90 minutes.
Aron Pollock’s Leatherhead were then defeated away to Thurrock 2-0 on the following Saturday.
Fellow central defender Michael Clark played the full 90 minutes as his East Thurrock side defeated Oxford City 4-1 in the National League South.
Youth team defender Toby Stevenson saw his Heybridge Swifts side lose out 3-0 to Canvey Island. The 18-year-old played the full 90 minutes but wasn’t able to minimise the Swifts defeat.
