PREVIEW: Bognor Regis Town v Leyton Orient

12 January 2018

The O’s make the journey to Nyewood Lane tomorrow (kick-off 3pm) as they face Bognor Regis Town in the Buildbase FA Trophy Second Round.

Justin Edinburgh’s side have lost just once in their previous seven matches and will be looking to earn a spot in the last-16 with a win over the National League South side.

Bognor Regis Town arrive in the Second Round having knocked out Hemel Hempstead Town and Taunton Town, a welcome break from league action that see’s them at in 21st position and without a win since August.

Jack Pearce’s side were held to a draw by Whitehawk on Saturday, having led through a James Muitt brace but a late equaliser by Simon Mensah meant the bottom two sides left with a point apiece.

The Rocks earned promotion to the National League South in 2016/17 having beaten Dulwich Hamlet in the Isthmian Premier Play-off Final, and reached the FA Trophy semi-final as recently as 2015/16 where they were defeated by Grimsby Town.

TEAM NEWS

The O’s will be hoping to welcome back George Elokobi, who has stepped up his recovery from a hamstring injury in recent weeks, while Myles Judd returned to training this week following a spell out with a groin injury.

Alex Lawless is a doubt after he picked up a groin injury, so Justin Edinburgh could hand a debut to Ebou Adams, who joined the Club on a loan deal from Norwich this week.

Lamar Reynolds impressed after coming off the bench on his debut last Saturday and will be hoping to start the game. The O’s will definitely be without forward Dan Holman, who is cup-tied after appearing for Boreham Wood as they knocked out Dartford in the First Round.
