ON THE ROAD: FC Halifax Town

As we continue to look at the teams that will make up the National League next season, Jamie Fullarton's FC Halifax Town will hope to improve on finishing in 16th place last term.

Brief History

FC Halifax Town formed after Halifax Town AFC went into administration in 2008.

Did you know?

The club’s record attendance stands at 8,042 for an FA Cup First Round tie against Bradford City on 9th November 2014.

Last Meeting

Orient’s first league win of 2018 came away to Halifax on January 30th. Goals from Macauley Bonne and Josh Koroma either side of Tom Denton’s finish ensured the O’s returned to E10 with a 2-1 victory and all three points.

One to watch

Forward Sanmi Odelusi joined The Shaymen after leaving Cheltenham Town last season.

The former Bolton Wanderers and Wigan man won promotion from league two with Blackpool two seasons ago and has been on the books at Coventry, MK Dons, Rochdale and Colchester during his career.

Manager

Jamie Fullarton was appointed First Team Manager in February 2018. After retiring from the game, he coached at Nottingham Forest, Bolton Wanderers, Blackburn Rovers and Crystal Palace before joining the Shaymen. Under his leadership, they secured a 16th place finish in the National League last season

Ground

The MBi Shay Stadium opened in 1921 and is situated into the side of a hill. It holds a capacity of 10,401 of which 5,108 are seated.
