A Levi Lumeka brace after Matt Harrold’s opener saw an Orient XI defeat Barnet in a behind closed doors friendly this afternoon.
Barnet got the game underway but it was Orient who struck almost immediately through Matt Harrold who was on hand to tap home from Charles Clayden’s drilled cross in to the six-yard box.
The O’s continued their dominance and recorded a second ten minutes later when Shadrach Ogie excellently found the run of Levi Lumeka who controlled the ball inside the box before he neatly tucked the ball in to the ‘keepers near post.
The visitors went close after half hour when their forward headed inches wide of the post following a whipped cross from the right.
Moments later, Dan Happe watched his deflected free-kick drop the wrong side of the post as the O’s went in two goals up at the break.
Following the restart, Orient continued to control possession as George Elokobi saw a header from a corner fly just over the target, before Harrold was smartly denied a second by the visiting ‘keeper.
Lumeka wrapped up the game with a stunning effort from 25-yards after the Palace loanee showed great skill to lose his man before he placed the ball in to the top corner of the net five minutes from time.
