Following an unbeaten start throughout August, the Club have nominated the following four players for the August Player of the Month.
Josh Koroma – The forward picked up where he left off from in pre-season and has scored two goals so far, including the opener in the away clash at Maidstone before he notched the second in the O’s 3-0 win over Dover Athletic at The Breyer Group Stadium.
The 19-year old has assisted on two occasions this season, the first came in the home fixture against Barrow, before he won the penalty Macauley Bonne converted in the 1-0 victory against Boreham Wood.
Craig Clay – The midfielder has completed 90 minutes in seven of his eight appearances for the O’s this season.
His deflected shot secured the O’s a point away at Salford City on the first day of the season and his man of the match winning performance against Boreham Wood have continued to be integral to the team’s success so far.
Jobi McAnuff – The O’s Captain has also completed 90 minutes in all seven fixtures he has appeared in. McAnuff’s versatility has seen the midfielder move central at times this season and his performances in the middle of the park have not gone unnoticed.
The skipper's deflected shot opened the scoring at home to Dover Athletic, capping off the performances of a real leader.
Marvin Ekpiteta - Ekpiteta appeared for the first time this term three minutes in to the fixture at home to Ebbsfleet and has been ever-present in the O’s defence since.
The towering central defender notched his first professional goal away at Maidstone, before he pulled 10-man Orient level in the 89th minute away to Gateshead. The 23-year old was part of the O’s defence that have recorded three clean sheets in their last four fixtures.
